UPP-Sol stands for:
"Urban Photovoltaics: Polygeneration with Solar Energy"
UPP-Sol - started in June 2007 - is a STReP co-funded by the Directorate Generale Transport and Energy within the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission.
UPP-Sol unites 8 organization among academic, local authorities and SME from 4 countries for a period of 46 months to achieve its main objectives:
(1) reduction in the needed amount of expensive semiconductor material by use of concentration
(2) increase of overall conversion efficiency by using polygeneration.
UPP-Sol is structured in 3 reporting periods
- 1st period activities (June2007- nov.2008) PUBLISHABLE SUMMARY
- 2nd period activities (Dec. 2008- May 2010) PUBLISHABLE SUMMARY
- 3nd period activities (June 2010- March 2011): scheduled in May 2011
